Approaching 26 Weeks

Not much is new this week. Baby is very active. I have continued to walk and do yoga everyday. Baby really likes the yoga. I think it's the deep breathing and the stretches that open up the belly and give Baby more room. The walking is getting a bit more challenging; I am winded by the end of my walk. Dyno and I have been going to the park two to three times a week to play 'soccer' so he can get his wiggles out. Sometimes it's just easier to let him run around than it is to walk him. Derrick is doing great but he hates the heat that Las Vegas has to offer. As he put it, "It's hard to stay cool when you work in a greenhouse." I say bring on the heat. I haven't felt it in over 6 months and my body is screaming for some vitamin D. Dyno and I did get a treat today with sunshine and 68 degree weather, but back to the typical Portland weather tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Our latest check up was Tuesday. Baby and I are doing a fabulous job. I've gained 17 pounds and my uterus (down my belly over my belly button) is measuring 25 centimeters. I'm actually measuring one centimeter bigger than I should but it's nothing to worry about. When I laid down for the Doctor to measure me you could clearly see where Baby was. It likes to hang out on the left side near my belly button. Our next baby appointment is May 10th. Baby and I are very excited because Daddy Derrick will get to come!
I also had the privileged of going to a chiropractor on Wednesday. I have been having some pain in my upper back between my shoulder blades. The doctor fixed me right up. He said it is probably from 2 different things. One, I am used to sleeping on my belly which is obviously impossible right now so it's throwing my body off trying to get comfortable. Two, the added belly weight is pulling me forward and down so my body is constantly trying to auto-correct and make me straight again. This is making the muscles work really hard. He gave me a few exercises to do to strengthen the muscles. I will be going back next week to follow up.
Baby is moving more and more. It's fun to have a secret when I'm amongst 'normal' people that I have a wee one playing in my belly. ~I know something you don't know.~
Birthing classes start April 19th. I will report back on that soon. I'm sure you will be interested to know how Hypnobirthing works.

Shower the Ones you Love with Love

Invites have gone out for the Baby Shower. If you didn't receive one and were looking forward to coming, let me know - I'm sorry I missed you. It will be at mom's house on May 28th. I can't wait to see everyone!

A Moment

Gradually I have been feeling the baby more. It started out feeling like little bubbles swimming through my belly. Slowly the feeling has been stronger and more solid like little 'bump bumps'. Well today I could feel Baby moving around and I looked down at my belly. My belly was moving in the spot Baby was wiggling around in. It was quite a moment we had! How fun!








Not quite like this but we're getting there.

A Special Visit

Mom came to visit last weekend. Thank you mom for everything especially taking a picture of me grocery shopping. She was a tourist in Win Co. At first it was a bit embarrassing when she whipped out her camera in the middle of the store, but we actually had people who were excited for her and soon we became the attraction. Check out that baby bump!

Well, it's official!

That's right. We found out...that I'm already a great mommy! Did I trick you? Did you think I was going to tell you the sex of the baby? You're crazy! The mid-way, 20 week appointment went great. Baby Wulf is developing wonderfully. We got to take a look at the heart and the brain! It's gonna be a smart little one. Not surprising since it's mommy and daddy are geniuses. Of course the doctor did not allow us to see much below the waist just in case something was obvious (or not). Check out Baby's latest pictures below. It's the most beautiful baby ever!

Happy March!

Well... I'm 18 weeks and I officially can't fit into any of my pants. 32-27=5 My belly has grown 5 inches. Do you realize how much that is? I know it's nothing compared to how much it will grow but this is my first time and I'm allowed to be totally shocked by how round I'm getting. It does give me an excuse to go shopping.

Since my belly is growing, March also brings a growing baby. This week the baby is the size of a sweet potato. I have my 20 week check-up on the 14th to see the baby in more detail. Only one part we won't be looking for... It's going to be tempting to want to see if the baby is a boy or girl, but it's not going to happen - unless it's on accident. :)

*Bonus* Our 4 year anniversary is the 24th!!!!! Yay for L♥VE!

Everyone is Healthy

16 week check up went well. The baby and I are both progressing nicely. I have gained 4 pounds and the baby is now 4.5 inches from head to bottom.


You can see that the baby seems to have Derrick's nose :). During the ultrasound it started dancing around; wiggling it's little arms and legs. If it moved, it must be real, right?

My Bump My Bump My Lovely Little Bump

Well, here's the baby from the outside at 15 weeks. My belly has popped. I've put 2 pair of slacks in the back of the closet already; I couldn't even get the zippers to match up. I think I may go maternity clothes hunting this weekend at some cute consignment shops nearby.

Baby Shopping is Daunting

We are not going to find out the sex of the baby, which makes designing a nursery a bit more challenging. We knew we wanted to use black and white and stay with a classic feel but we were stuck after that. Well, after hours of looking at pictures of other people's beautiful nurseries, I think I have finally found my inspiration to build off of. Since the baby is due to arrive in summer, I have chosen the theme "you are my sunshine" or "our little sunshine". What do you think?

This couple is becoming a few!

That's right. We happily introduce you to our little surprise. The little Wulf Pup is due August 1st. I feel like the luckiest momma-to-be. I have had very minimal nausea and a few headaches. Nothing I can't handle. I think the hardest thing to get used to is having to eat so much food. I swear it seams like all I do is eat but that hungry feeling never seems to go away. I haven't had any cravings yet; I have excuses. Donuts that were once not in my diet are now a regular snack. My next appointment is February 14th. Check back for a new picture!
